Patriotism

I’m so proud of my country.

My entire country. Let’s keep moving forward.

[Edited to add: This was supposed to go up yesterday, but I had some technical problems. I still feel this way, so I posted it even though it’s late.]

    I’m proud of my country because it finally seems to be about the people within the country.

    Although I am happy with the election outcome myself, I am surrounded by people who hate it and are full of anger. Where do we go from here?

    I’m surrounded by angry people too, sciencegirl! So much so that they won’t talk to me right now. Guess that’s Texas for you.

    Academic: That’s part of what makes me so proud. That people could band together and work hard to make something happen.

    Science Girl and Always-a-Student: I don’t know what to tell you. I think the only hope I can offer is that in a while things will simmer down and the hate will decrease. At that point in time, hopefully, we’ll all be able to talk again.
